After a power spike my computer won't turn on. Nothing dead.. is it the power supply?
If you are lucky. It could be the motherboard. When you turn it on does the fan in the power supply turn?
If you try to turn it on and you do not even get a fan to run in the back, where your power supply is, than chances are your power supply just went bad.
If that is the case you got off easy as you can order a new one and replace it pretty cheap.
Now if your mother board or other parts got fried, that is a different story.
That seems to be the case. Thanks, I'm taking it by my local shop where I bought it.
try talking nicely and ask how its day was...try soft music and candlelight...:laugh1:
Reminds me of that scene in the Star Trek movie where they went back in time to get the whales.
Scotty sits at a computer to do some work, picks up the mice, puts it to his mouth and says..."hello computer" :laugh1:
Oh how quaint!!!!!
